This project captures the transformation of pedestrian signs—specifically the father-child figure—as they erode over time. Designed as symbols of safety and guidance, these signs, once precise and modern, gradually wear down. Beneath their polished design, they reveal forms that evoke a more primal, almost prehistoric visual language. Rather than dismissing disrepair, this erosion unveils essential communication—an underlying universality that transcends their original urban purpose.
This exploration reflects on the evolution and resilience of meaning, going beyond a simple documentation of utilitarian decay.
